Job Overview

Healthfelt Global Staffing is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Surgical Operations to oversee and manage surgical services within a healthcare facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient surgical department operations, maintaining high standards of patient safety, and supporting surgical teams to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in hospital surgical departments, excellent operational management skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations and surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the surgical department, including operating theatres and surgical services
  • Lead and manage surgical teams, including surgeons, nurses, and support staff
  • Ensure high standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and patient outcomes
  • Coordinate surgical schedules, staffing, and resource allocation
  • Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of surgical equipment and facilities
  • Work closely with hospital leadership to achieve organizational goals
  • Manage budgets, operational costs, and departmental planning
  • Implement policies, procedures, and best practices in surgical operations

Skill & Experience

  • Experience leading surgical departments in large hospitals or healthcare networks
  • Advanced certification in healthcare management or clinical leadership
  • Experience with hospital quality assurance and patient safety programs
  • Strong background in operational planning and healthcare administration
